Wushu Administrative Centers (competent Wushu authorities) under the Sports Bureaus of all provinces, autonomous regions, centrally administered municipalities, cities designated in the state plan, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps; Wushu Associations, industry sports associations, sports colleges and universities, and officially designated “Martial Arts Hometowns”;
Domestic Wushu organizations that recognize and adhere to the Constitution of the Chinese Wushu Association;
National or regional Wushu federations and organizations that recognize and adhere to the Constitution of the International Wushu Federation

(I) Compulsory Events
Changquan (Long Fist) Category: Changquan, Daoshu (Broadsword), Jianshu (Straight Sword), Qiangshu (Spear), Gunshu (Staff) – First, Second, and Third Sets of International Competition Routines; Elementary Routines (First, Second, Third Road);Junior Compulsory Routines.
Nanquan (Southern Fist) Category: Nanquan, Nandao (Southern Broadsword), Nangun (Southern Staff) – First and Third Sets of International Competition Routines.
Taijiquan (Tai Chi Chuan) Category: 24-Form Taijiquan, 32-Form Taijijian, 42-Form Taijiquan, 42-Form Taijijian; Third Set of International Competition Routines for Taijiquan and Taijijian.
(II) Traditional Events
1. Traditional Bare-Hand Forms
Taijiquan Styles: Competition routines for Chen, Yang, Wu, Wu (Hao), and Sun styles; Traditional routines for Chen, Yang, Wu, Wu (Hao), Sun, and other Taijiquan styles (please specify the routine name in the registration form).
Nanquan Styles: Wing Chun, Wuzuquan (Five Ancestors Fist), Hongquan (Hung Gar), Choy Li Fut, Dishuquan (Ground Boxing), Hequan (White Crane), and other Nanquan styles (please specify the routine name in the registration form).
Other Traditional Styles: Xingyiquan (Form & Intention Fist), Baguazhang (Eight Trigrams Palm), Bajiquan (Eight Extremities Fist), Tongbeiquan (Through-Back Fist), Piguaquan (Chop-Hanging Fist), Fanziquan (Rotating Fist), Ditangquan (Ground Tumbling Fist), Xiangxingquan (Animal-imitating Fist), Chaquan (Cha Fist), Huaquan (Hua Fist), Paoquan (Cannon Fist), Hongquan (Red Fist), Huaquan (Flower Fist), Shaolinquan (Shaolin Fist), Wudangquan (Wudang Fist), Wudang Taiyiquan (Taiyi Dragon Fist), Emeiquan (Emei Fist), and other traditional styles (please specify the style and routine name in the registration form).
2. Traditional Weapon Routines
Single Weapons: Dao (Broadsword), Jian (Straight Sword), Gun (Staff), Qiang (Spear), Podao (Long-Hilted Saber), Bishou (Dagger), Bian Gan (Whip Staff), Zhang (Cane), Bang (Cudgel), Guai (Tonfa), Chan (Spade), Cha (Fork), Taiji Shan (Taiji Fan), Taiji Jian (Taiji Sword), Taiji Dao (Taiji Broadsword), Taiji Qiang (Taiji Spear), Wudang Jian (Wudang Straight Sword), Nan Dao (Southern Broadsword), Nan Gun (Southern Staff), and other single weapons (please specify the style and routine name in the registration form).
Double Weapons: Shuangdao (Double Broadswords), Shuangjian (Double Straight Swords, including Long Tassel Double Swords), Shuangbian (Double Whips, including combinations like Broadsword and Whip), Shuanggou (Double Hooks), Shuangbishou (Double Daggers), Shuangyue (Double Axes), and other double weapons (please specify the style and routine name in the registration form).
Flexible Weapons: Jiujiebian (Nine-Section Whip), Shuangjiegun (Nunchaku), Sanjiegun (Three-Section Staff), Liuxingchui (Meteor Hammer), Shengbiao (Rope Dart), and other flexible weapons (please specify the style and routine name in the registration form).
(III) Duilian (Choreographed Sparring) Events (No Age Categories)
Bare-Hand Sparring, Weapon Sparring (including Bare-Hand vs. Weapon).
(IV) Group Events (No Age Categories)
Group Bare-Hand Routines, Group Weapon Routines (including combinations of Bare-Hand and Weapon).
(V) Special Events
Wushu Sanda Special Event, Wushu Youth Routine Special Event, Wushu Middle-Aged and Senior Taijiquan Special Event, Jingwu Traditional Wushu Special Event, Spring Airlines-Yong Nian Cup Taijiquan Special Event, Long Shen She Xing (Dragon-Snake Form) Special Event, Duanwei Examination Special Event (including domestic and international divisions) (Competition rules will be published separately).
VIII. Participation Regulations
(I) Each delegation may register one Head of Delegation, one Team Leader, two Coaches, and one Medical Officer. There is no limit on the number of athletes and observers.
(II) Each athlete may register for one fist routine and one weapon routine and may additionally participate in duilian (choreographed sparring) and group events.
(III) Each team may enter one duilian event, with two or three participants per group. Teams may be composed of both male and female participants. No age divisions apply.
(IV) Each team may enter one group event, with a minimum of six participants. Teams may be composed of both male and female participants. No age divisions apply.
IX. Competition Rules
(I) The competition shall follow the Traditional Wushu Routine Competition Rules (2024) ratified by the Chinese Wushu Association, along with all supplementary regulations.
(II) Competitors participating in the 42-Form Taijiquan event must perform the routine as specified in the Taijiquan Competition Routines compiled and published by the former Wushu Research Institute of the State Physical Culture and Sports Commission. For the Chen-Style, Yang-Style, Wu-Style, and Sun-Style Taijiquan events, competitors must adhere to the Four-Style Taijiquan Competition Routines compiled and published by the same institute. Competitors in the Wu (Hao)-Style Taijiquan event are required to follow the 1996 edition of the Wu (Hao)-Style Taijiquan Competition Routines compiled and published by the institute. For the 42-Form Taijijian event, competitors must perform the routine according to the 1991 edition of the Taijijian Competition Routines compiled and published by the institute.
(III) Routine Duration Limits
1. Traditional Fist and Weapon Routines (excluding Taijiquan events): Maximum two minutes.
2. Taijiquan Routines: Maximum four minutes. A whistle signal will be given by the Chief Referee at the three-minute mark.
3. Taiji Weapon Routines: Maximum three minutes. A whistle signal will be given by the Chief Referee at the two-minute mark.
4. Duilian (Choreographed Sparring): Minimum 40 seconds. Taijiquan Duilian: Maximum three minutes.
5. Compulsory Routine Compliance: Competitors must perform the set routines in the prescribed sequence without additions, omissions, or modifications. Each unauthorized modification will result in a 0.1-point deduction per instance, with cumulative penalties applied. Movements left incomplete after the Chief Referee’s final whistle will not incur deductions.
6. Group Events: Maximum duration: Four minutes; Must be performed with musical accompaniment (self-provided); Penalty for inclusion of vocals: If the music contains vocals (e.g., rapping or spoken words), a 0.2-point deduction will be applied by the Chief Referee; Penalty for lack of music: A 0.2-point deduction will be applied if no music is provided. Music playback responsibility: The team coach or team leader is responsible for operating the music during the competition.
(IV) Age Categories
Children's Division (Group A): 11 years old and under (born on or after January 1, 2014);
Junior Division (Group B): 12–17 years old (born between January 1, 2008, and December 31, 2013);
Youth Division (Group C): 18–39 years old (born between January 1, 1986, and December 31, 2007);
Adult Division (Group D): 40–59 years old (born between January 1, 1966, and December 31, 1985);
Senior Division (Group E): 60 years old and above (born on or before December 31, 1965).
X. Awards & Recognition
(I) Compulsory Events
Awards for each event and gender category: First Prize (20%) – Certificate & Medal; Second Prize (30%) – Certificate & Medal; Third Prize (40%) – Certificate & Medal; Merit Award (10%) – Certificate only
(II) Traditional Events
Awards for each event and gender category: First Prize (20%) – Certificate & Medal; Second Prize (30%) – Certificate & Medal; Third Prize (40%) – Certificate & Medal; Merit Award (10%) – Certificate only
(III) Group Events
Categories: Barehand Routines, Weapon Routines (including mixed barehand/weapon routines). Award distribution: First Prize (30%); Second Prize (30%); Third Prize (40%). Awards: Teams receive recognition plaques; individuals are awarded certificates. Award distribution will be determined based on the actual number of participating teams, rounded to the nearest whole number according to standard competition rounding rules.
(IV) Category Merging Rules: If a category has five or fewer registered participants per gender, it will be merged with the closest age group within the same event category. If the merged category still contains fewer than five participants, it will be further merged with the closest event category within the same age group. Throughout the merging process, awards will remain gender-specific.
(V) Special Events: Awards and qualification criteria for special events will be governed by their respective regulations.
XI. Duanwei (Grading) Certification
For competitors in the Domestic Division of Special Events, individual results may be used as a waiver for the technical examination for Duanwei Levels 1–6 certification. Eligible athletes must: 1. Submit an application through either: Their local Duanwei Administration Office (in-person submission), or The "Chinese Wushu" (中国武术) app (digital submission). 2. Provide supporting documents including competition results and qualification materials. 3. Complete certification procedures in accordance with the Chinese Wushu Duanwei System Administration Regulations (2024) and relevant directives.
For international competitors, duanwei examination sessions will be organized separately during the competition period. Specific details will be announced via official bulletins.
XII. Registration & Check-In
(I) Registration

2. Registration Period: May 18 – August 18, 2025 (Deadline: August 18, 24:00. Late submissions will not be accepted.)
3. Registration Method: Team Leaders must, by the specified deadline, complete online registration for their teams and upload to the online platform the following for each athlete: A copy of their ID card or passport; A 2inch ID photo with a white background (JPG or PNG format; max. 5 MB); A Liability Waiver with a handwritten signature (digital signatures are not accepted)
4. Submission of Physical Documents: Once online registration is completed, teams must: Download the Team Entry Form from the platform; Print it on A4 paper and affix their organization's official seal; Submit a scanned copy or PDF version to the Organizing Committee's email: shwsexpo@163.com; Physically submit the original hard copies of the required registration documents to the Organizing Committee during the Team Leaders' Meeting.
(II) Check-In
All participating teams must check in on September 18; the checkin venue will be announced later.
XIII. Financial Provisions
(I) Registration Fees: Individual Events: CNY 200 per person per event; Additional Events: CNY 100 per additional event; Group Events: CNY 500 per team entry. Payment must be made to the Organizing Committee in full upon check-in.
(II) Insurance: All participating athletes will be covered by personal accident insurance for the duration of the competition.
(III) Accommodation & Meals: The Organizing Committee will provide information on designated hotels, but will not collect accommodation or meal fees. Teams must arrange their own lodging and meals. See the supplementary notice for details.
XIV. Referees
(I) The composition and duties of referees shall adhere to the Traditional Wushu Routine Competition Rules (2024).
(II) All referees will be appointed by the Chinese Wushu Association. The official list of appointed referees will be announced separately.

XVI. Additional Rules
(I) All athletes must sign the Liability Waiver (see Attachment).
(II) Athletes must provide their own competition attire and equipment. They are required to wear traditional Wushu uniforms and Wushu shoes.
(III) Athletes must check in at least 30 minutes before their scheduled event. Athletes must wait in the designated check-in area before their event.
(IV) If an athlete fails to check in after three calls, they will be considered as having forfeited the competition.
